Welcome to Combermere Lodge and the beautiful Madawaska
Valley.
Our intimate and friendly family lodge and cottages provide guests with access to Blackfish Bay and the
35 miles of boating and fishing opportunities along the Madawaska River System.
Guests can travel by boat to Barry's Bay to the North or canoe around the Blackfish Bay area in front of
the lodge.
Fishing throughout the Madawaska River system provides some
of the best fishing in Ontario for bass, Walleye, Pike and
Muskellunge.
Wildlife viewing can be found nearby in the provincially
significant wetland the Conroy Marsh. Madawaska River kayaking
and canoeing is available at Palmer Rapids a 15 minute drive
from the lodge.
The sand beach provides swimming opportunities for the family
close to the lodge.
The charming village of Combermere is just minutes away and
Barry's Bay is 10 minutes by Car.
The east gate of the world famous Algonquin Park is just
45 minutes from the lodge and is recommended as an exciting
day trip for our first time visitors.
Canoeing and Kayaking. We are 15 minutes by car to Palmer
Rapids. Palmer Rapids has become a very popular area for kayaking
and canoeing on the Madawaska River.
