The Ottawa Valley stretches from Ottawa, Canada's capital city, westward to the wilderness of Ontario's world-renowned Algonquin Park in the west. More than half the Valley is wilderness: 2.4 million hectares (6 million acres) of pristine waterways, rolling woodlands and dramatic landforms. This landscape stimulates an out-of-doors lifestyle with recreation opportunities that are varied and adaptable to season, scenery and technical challenge.
